Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study is required.
  • Three to five years of experience in account management, sales, compensation and benefits program administration, or a related field is required.
  • Ability to articulate Mercer’s offerings to the client base and proactively identify sales opportunities and retention strategies.
  • Ability to effectively and accurately manage multiple tasks and complex projects with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong client relationship skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Responsibilities
  • Act as the main point of contact for 30-35 moderate to highly complex memberships across Global Data Memberships, Mercer Comptryx, and Mercer WIN Advanced eIPE subscriptions.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to promote and sell to existing clients by analyzing compensation and benefits survey data and sales campaign data.
  • Create account plans for key clients to understand their business and industry, strengthen client relationships, retain accounts, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on assigned client industries and stay current on external industry developments and internal industry offerings and solutions.
  • Facilitate the renewal process, including creating fee quotes with the fee calculator tool, preparing Membership Contracts, and following the standard peer review process.
  • Coordinate and facilitate new-client introduction meetings and conduct regular client meetings by phone or in person as appropriate.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on Mercer’s internal tools, including Mercer WIN, Mercer Comptryx, and the Mercer WIN Advanced eIPE platform.
  • Facilitate annual survey participation for managed clients by coordinating with global support teams.
  • Resolve questions regarding online tools and web access, resolve billing issues, and advise clients on compensation and benefits benchmarking needs.
  • Follow process guidelines for managing engagement activities and keep member information updated in the Client Management system.
  • Work with global support teams to identify and document scope changes and regularly track and revise information in team tracking tools.
  • Ensure Mercer and clients meet service-level agreements by reviewing client agreements and modifying them when necessary.
  • Lead or collaborate with the team lead and other team members to identify process improvements for offerings.
Desired Qualifications
  • An MBA is preferred.
  • Experience in a corporate compensation and benefits or compensation and benefits consulting environment is preferred.
