Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, bioengineering or related field required.
  • Master’s/MBA or PhD is a plus
  • A minimum of 12-15 years of related work experience with a significant amount of experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical background
  • Experience managing drug development programs from pre-clinical to Phase III studies is essential.
  • Degree in a biopharmaceutical-related field (e.g., biology, chemistry, engineering, etc.)
  • Ability to quickly pivot effectively regarding changing priorities with programs/resources.
  • Proficient use of IT / project management tools (Outlook, Excel, MS Project)
  • Established leadership track record with evidence of excellent people management experience, problem solving, collaboration, cross functional leadership and effective communication skills
  • Excellent communication, influencing, stakeholder management and decision-making skills
  • Strong project/program management foundation (PMP, PgMP preferred but not required)
Responsibilities
  • Leads cross-functional teams which include CMC, Clinical, Non-Clinical, Regulatory and Commercial, to define product development strategies to meet organizational goals.
  • Provides project management expertise and support for clinical stage drug development programs and works in concert with cross-functional leads to deliver on program plans.
  • Facilitates strategic discussions on scenario planning to enable core team and governance decision making.
  • Manages and leads the budgeting/forecasting process across R&D to ensure achievement of acceptable variances.
  • Continuously monitors pipeline costs and aligns on justification of material cost changes with key stakeholders.
  • Supports development and adherence to budget through pro-active identification and resolution of any program or resource issues.
  • Manages the program dashboard reporting process by working with Program Managers and Program Leads to reflect material program updates.
  • Ability to effectively present program status updates and strategic recommendations to Sr. Management.
  • Direct supervisory responsibilities for a team of high-performing Program Managers with various levels of experience.
  • Provides strong advocacy to support the career development of the PM team.
  • Ensures implementation of effective processes and innovative solutions to support efficiencies in management of programs.
