Requirements
  • A relevant undergraduate or masters degree with excellent academic performance
  • Ideally some previous meaningful work experience in an internship capacity, either in private equity, investment banking, corporate development, consulting or transaction services
  • Special emphasis on accounting, valuation and financial modelling skills
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills and a solid understanding of fundamental investment analysis
  • Self-motivated individual with the dedication to perform in a fast-paced environment and take ownership of tasks
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills
  • High degree of professionalism and integrity
  • Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Willingness to travel when necessary
  • Able to start either December 2024 / January / February 2025
Responsibilities
  • Preparation of investment recommendations and presentations that will go to Private Capital’s Investment Committee
  • Assist in the building of financial models to support investment returns, valuation, transaction structuring and financing
  • Coordinate and analyse third-party due diligence to support investment recommendations
  • Assist deal team in the negotiation and execution of transactions
  • Conduct research to support the development of investment strategies and evaluate potential investment opportunities
  • Participate in advisor meetings to source and evaluate opportunities
  • Participate in the ongoing management and monitoring of portfolio companies, including the semi-annual valuation process
  • Work with management teams to implement initiatives and strategic decisions
  • Attend board meetings and assist board members
