  • Associate degree or equivalent with up to two years of applicable community experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university
  • High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) equivalent with up to three years of applicable community experience

Responsibilities
  • Perform disease investigations, patient interviews, partner elicitation and notification
  • Review medical treatments received by case patients and consult with providers
  • Ensure identified contacts receive appropriate prevention information and medical evaluation
  • Obtain and review demographic, locating, laboratory, clinical, and risk information
  • Employ dynamic communication and interpersonal skills
  • Work with patients to identify close contacts
  • Recommend appropriate risk reduction measures and implement disease control measures
  • Document case investigations appropriately
