Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Identifying, analyzing, and recommending investments to portfolio managers
  • Creative collection of pertinent industry and company information
  • Preparing detailed reports and developing financial models for companies researched
  • Translation of analysis into actionable investment ideas
  • Communication of investment thesis to firm's investment professionals
  • Formulation of a fundamental understanding of the competitive, operational, financial, and regulatory dynamics affecting an industry
  • Strategic analysis of sub-sectors and companies as well as field work
  • Exposure to short positions and private investments in high growth areas
  • Build strong trusting relationships internally with colleagues and externally with company management teams
  • Undergraduate degree and currently enrolled in your first year of a two-year MBA program (Graduating in Spring 2024)
  • Interest or relevant past experience in financial markets and investing; has a curiosity for the global markets, and in establishing their own process for researching and evaluating companies
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience in a collaborative, results-oriented environment; is energized by being an individual contributor within a collaborative team and embracing the benefits of overlapping lines of company coverage and idea generation across the Firm. Willing to build strong trusting relationships internally with colleagues and externally with company management teams
  • Self-awareness and self-confidence to be comfortable 'being wrong'; has the ability to take risk and challenge investment views, has the humility to admit mistakes and a desire to learn from others; must recognize the benefits of diverse perspectives
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Ability to synthesize data and present results through strong written and oral communication skills; has the ability to communicate action-oriented opinions clearly and with conviction, and contribute to an open investment dialogue
  • Possesses a growth mindset; the flexibility and openness to continue learning, evolving, and growing as an investor
