About the role:

Our company venture, Winona is looking to hire a full-time remote Principal Software Architect.

For this role, your primary focus will be collaborating with a team of developers in creating and implementing software applications and components. You’ll have the opportunity to choose your hours and work and learn with a team of world-class engineers and designers through a commitment to team collaboration, communication, and product quality.

Seniority Level: Senior Executive

Responsibilities:

• Lead and inspire a team of talented engineers.

• Develop and execute the technical roadmap and strategy, aligning it with the overall business objectives.

• Design and develop web applications using VueJS on the front end and NodeJS on the back end.

• Build and maintain APIs to enable communication between the front-end and back-end of the application.

• Develop database schemas and integrate them with data sources.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Write clean and maintainable code that is easy to understand, test, and maintain.

• Debug and troubleshoot issues that arise during development, testing, and deployment.

• Use Amazon Web Services to ensure code quality and security by following coding standards, testing best practices, and implementing security protocols to protect user data.

• Participate in code reviews to ensure that code is well-structured, follows best practices, and meets the project’s requirements.

Requirements:

• 4 + years of experience leading or managing teams as Software Architect.

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Software Developer.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Vue.js and Node.js, including the development of complex web applications and APIs.

• Strong experience with AWS.

• Extensive database experience.

• Experience with containerization technologies.

• Proven experience designing and architecting complex software systems, ensuring they are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business objectives.

• Excellent leadership and people management skills.

• Proven experience with design patterns and software architecture.

• Great communication skills.

• Has experience working for large startups.
