About the Team
We are searching for a Lead Program Manager who will be responsible for driving and managing the software product development lifecycle of Aviatrix products, with experience in startup and in leading Agile software development.
As a Program Manager Leader, you will work closely with our Engineering, QA, Product Management, Support, Sales and Operations teams to define efficient and effective processes from product conceptualization through all phases of product development.
Strong communication skills are necessary for success in this position, as this role interacts with a variety of teams; the program manager must be able to interact through both speech and writing with different audiences, including the executive level.
This is a high judgment role that requires someone who can operate without structured guidance, navigate ambiguity, and take decisive action when necessary.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain program-level plans and schedules, including resources, and dependencies.
- Demonstrate ability to collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams. Communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to cross-functional project teams, get buy-in, and deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Establish new processes and policies, when needed, to facilitate product development and service delivery, as well as provide expertise on process improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and prioritize deliverables.
- Systematically escalate problems or variances in the operating plan to the relevant owners and teams and address barriers through problem solving, communication, and active coordination with stakeholders.
- Work within time constraints to meet critical business needs (often managing multiple, time-sensitive and high priority initiatives simultaneously), while measuring and identifying activities performed and ensuring service requirements are met following through to resolution to ensure they are delivered on time.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, and develop contingency plans as needed
- Track and report on project progress, including status updates and key performance indicators.
- Mentor and coach team members on best practices and processes.
Requirements and Skills
To be successful in this role, you should have strong leadership skills, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- 10+ years of experience as Program Manager in software, embedded, networking, or products.
- 3+ years of experience leading or mentoring program managers.
- Strong understanding of software development processes.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Ability to influence peers, leaders, and executives to drive towards common business goals.
- Ability to prioritize multiple priorities and initiatives with confidence in a dynamic environment.
- Experience working with project planning tools.
- Proficient in Agile Project Management processes.
- Experience in establishing new processes and improving existing ones.
- Should be able to deal well with rapid changes and feel comfortable navigating uncertain/ambiguous situations.
- Team player that thrives in a highly collaborative, fast paced startup environment.

- The US base salary range for this full-time position is $160,000 - $260,000 + benefits + 401(k) match + equity. The pay range is determined by the role, work location, job-related skills, level, experience and relevant education. The range displayed is the minimum and maximum target base salary and is applicable only for new hires for the listed position located in the US.
