You will join us in our journey to become the go-to platform for job seekers looking to find their perfect role. Every month, thousands of job seekers trust us to connect them with meaningful opportunities, and we’re excited to grow this impact even further.

As a Senior Fullstack Engineer (all genders), you will implement new features and maintain significant parts of our job seeker user flows from end-to-end. Your work will involve discussing, designing, and developing various parts of our talent-focused products, defining and evolving standards, mentoring team members, and leveraging both traditional approaches and AI-enhanced solutions.

At HeyJobs, we invest heavily in leveraging AI-augmented software engineering tooling to increase time to market and impact significantly. You will be using the latest tooling (currently Claude Code and your IDE of choice, including Cursor or Github Copilot) and adopting it for new workflows and use cases, as well as emerging ones. As part of your journey with us, you will grow further into an AI-accelerated engineer who significantly punches above their own weight.

In this role, you can earn an annual target salary between 72.000 - 85.000 €.

🎯 How you can contribute to HeyJobs

• Build and maintain our Jobseeker Portal using Next.js, TypeScript, and React

• Build and maintain our Ruby on Rails backend application

• Troubleshoot and fix bugs in our applications

• Pair with other engineers on tough problems to arrive at the best solution

• Contribute to and maintain a robust monitoring framework that lets us detect problems early

• Mentor engineers to help them grow as software professionals

• Work closely with other disciplines, like Product Managers and Designers, to deliver great solutions

🤝 What sets you up for success

• Min. 3 years or more of full-time experience

• Experience with Ruby on Rails and React

• Fluency in Typescript or JavaScript

• Intermediate knowledge of SQL

• Solid understanding of web development (how HTTP works, REST, in-browser storage, etc.)

• Experience with backend web development (any language or framework)

• Experience leveraging AI tools as part of your fundamental workflow, from general prompting to agents with Copilot, Cursor, and alike

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

• Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude

• You are a team player with a strong motivation to contribute to team success
