Requirements
  • Idaho state license as a Certified Nurse Midwife
  • Certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife
  • Idaho State Controlled Substance License
  • Eligible for Federal DEA Certificate II through V
  • BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers
Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and promotion of health and prevention of disease
  • Assessment, diagnosis, treatment, correction, and consultation
  • Procedures as outlined by specialty, and referral for health problems
  • Education of the patient, patient's family, clinical staff, and others
  • Prescription or administration of prescription drugs or devices in accordance with a consultation and referral plan
  • Consultation with other healthcare providers
  • Appropriate and timely documentation of clinical care
  • Continually learning and developing for optimal patient care and outcomes
  • Participate in research
  • Utilize evidence-based practice to improve quality patient care
  • Protocol development
  • Care process model development
  • Best practice standards for assigned patient population throughout our organization
