As a Tax Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the tax departments operations and providing strategic tax planning and compliance services to clients. Your role is crucial in ensuring the firm’s tax-related functions run smoothly and efficiently. The Tax Director requires a combination of technical tax expertise, leadership skills, client relationship management and the ability to adapt to a dynamic and ever-changing tax landscape.
Requirements:
- Possess a bachelor’s degree and hold an active CPA license.
- 10 + years of extensive public accounting experience.
- Demonstrate up-to-date expertise in tax law and filing regulations.
- Proven track record of successfully managing, directing, reviewing, and monitoring multiple engagements.
- Experience in leadership and managing a team of staff members.
- Exhibit technical proficiency in industry-specific software packages.
Responsibilities:
- Break down complex accounting, auditing & tax engagements for staff adherence.
- Present financial statements, management letters & tax returns at client meetings.
- Research intricate audit, accounting & tax issues using relevant authorities & guidance.
- Demonstrate business judgment, creativity & project management skills.
- Stay updated on new legislation, education, and professional organizations.
- Analyze client transactions, perform/review tax projections & identify tax impacts.
- Communicate potential risks and tax savings in client engagements.
