Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of territory manager experience in hospital-based life sciences, with cardiovascular experience preferred; alternatively, 3 years of cardiovascular or interventional sales support experience.
  • Ability to meet and exceed assigned quarterly and annual sales plans.
  • Ability to independently manage time, resources, and budget within the assigned territory.
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with customers, hospitals, and physicians and obtain new users for company products and services.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Must not be debarred by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for work in any medical device business.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to operate independently and as part of a team while adapting to changing requirements.
  • Ability to sit continuously for prolonged periods, including more than two consecutive hours during an eight-hour day.
  • Ability to lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds or more and work in air-conditioned or non-temperature-controlled spaces.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to promote Shockwave products to appropriate hospital personnel and physicians.
  • Meet with physicians and hospital personnel to determine customer needs, goals, product usage, and case types.
  • Educate customers on products and proper clinical usage through presentations and demonstrations.
  • Attend hospital procedures and cases and advise physicians and operating-room staff on product usage.
  • Attain territory sales and revenue objectives and quota.
  • Partner with Clinical, Field Clinical Representatives, Marketing, Research and Development, and other business units to identify selling opportunities and present to potential clients.
  • Conduct consultative sales calls with interventional cardiologists and vascular surgeons.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Demonstrate in-depth product knowledge and communicate clinical information to physicians.
  • Complete and process sales summary, expense, monthly product tracking, account targeting, and complaint reports in accordance with established procedures and policies.
  • Represent the company professionally while maintaining ethical and moral standards.
  • Comply with corporate compliance, Food and Drug Administration, medical device, quality, and ethics standards.

  • Successful sales experience with catheter technology for occlusive vascular disease, endovascular procedures, atherectomy, stents, or coronary products with peripheral influence.
  • Cardiovascular experience in hospital-based life sciences.
