Conga announces Netflix documentary star and survival expert Chris Lemons as its featured speaker at Conga Connection 2026. 08/12/2026 See Conga in action. Conga's solutions align all teams, processes, and systems at scale The Annual Event Comes to Amsterdam This October, Bringing Together European Revenue, Commercial, and Operations Leaders to Accelerate What Matters LONDON, 12 august 2026. Conga, the company lining up commerce, today announced that Chris Lemons - commercial saturation diver, subject of the acclaimed Netflix and BBC documentary Last Breath, and one of the world's most sought-after speakers on resilience and human performance - will appear as a featured guest speaker at Conga Connection 2026, taking place 14-15 October 2026 at the Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky, Amsterdam. In September 2012, a catastrophic failure of the dynamic positioning system aboard his dive support vessel severed the umbilical supplying Lemons with breathing gas, heat, and light, leaving him stranded 90 metres below the North Sea with only five minutes of emergency air. The story, which captured global attention, has made Lemons one of the most compelling voices on resilience, crisis leadership and what it truly means to perform under pressure. His keynote will explore how success under pressure isn't about doing more - it's about focusing on what matters most. For Lemons, the lesson is clear: when everything goes wrong, it's the processes you built in advance that give people the chance to perform to the best of their ability. It is a message that sits at the heart of this year's theme, Accelerate What Matters. Attendees can expect a fresh perspective on focusing through change and uncertainty, with themes directly relevant to the commercial and operational challenges facing EMEA businesses today. "Chris Lemons' story is extraordinary, but what makes him such a powerful speaker is what he reveals about trust, teamwork and the decisions we make when the stakes are highest," said Dave Osborne, CEO of Conga. "Those are exactly the conversations European business leaders need to be having right now. We will be onsite to connect with you, help you accelerate what matters to your business, and share what's next for customers, commerce and Conga." Now in its second year, Conga Connection is the annual gathering of European Conga customers and partners coming together to share ideas, explore innovation and tackle real commercial challenges - with a sharp focus on the initiatives that deliver the greatest business impact. Alongside Lemons and Conga leadership, the programme features customer speakers sharing first-hand results from the field, including: * Geraldine Michault, Head of Commercial Excellence & CPQ, RHI Magnesita will share how Conga CPQ is helping RHI Magnesita simplify complex selling, improve pricing accuracy and accelerate the quote-to-cash process. * Danut Mirica, Senior Enterprise Architect, Pricing and Business Systems, ABB, Energy Industries will explore how Conga Price Management enables ABB to respond faster to changing market conditions, protect margins and deliver AI-driven pricing insights across the business. The event is proudly supported by sponsors including AWS, Pricemind, Pink Samurais, Simphonis and Articulate IT. Open to customers, prospects and partners, Conga Connection 2026 is free to attend. The full programme spans two days of keynotes, breakout sessions, interactive workshops and networking. For full agenda details and to register, visit the Conga Connection 2026 site. About Conga. Conga promotes Ian Wathen to Chief Financial Officer. Thu, 6th Aug 2026 (Today) Conga has promoted Ian Wathen to Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. Wathen, a 10-year veteran of the software company, most recently served as Senior Vice President of Finance and interim Chief Financial Officer. In the permanent role, he will lead Conga's global finance organisation, including financial planning and analysis, accounting, investor relations and strategic financial operations. The appointment gives Conga a finance chief from within its existing leadership ranks as the group continues to expand its commercial software business. The company sells tools that help businesses manage pricing, quoting, contracting, rebates and communications across sales and finance processes. Wathen will remain part of the executive leadership team and work closely with the wider C-suite and board. His appointment follows a period in which he had already been overseeing the finance function on an interim basis. Conga says it serves more than 10,000 customers worldwide, including more than half of the Fortune 100, and that more than 7 million contracts are generated annually through its platform. Internal appointment Wathen joined Conga more than a decade ago and has held several senior finance roles. Conga cited his familiarity with its finances and strategy as reasons for formalising his leadership of the department. For software companies built on recurring customer relationships, finance chiefs often play a central role in balancing growth targets, operating discipline and investor communications. Appointing an insider can also reduce disruption when a company is already navigating strategic or organisational change. Dave Osborne, Chief Executive Officer of Conga, said Wathen had already demonstrated his suitability for the role during his time as interim finance chief. "Ian has earned this role many times over," said Dave Osborne, Chief Executive Officer, Conga. "Over the last decade, he has demonstrated an exceptional understanding of Conga's business and has already built deep trust with stakeholders. Having served as Conga's interim CFO, he knows what it takes to lead this function at the highest level. This is the right person, at the right time, and I couldn't be more confident in the decision." Finance remit As Chief Financial Officer, Wathen takes on a broad remit spanning core reporting and planning functions as well as investor relations. That puts him at the centre of decisions on budgeting, performance measurement and financial strategy as Conga manages its next phase under Osborne's leadership team. Conga operates in the revenue lifecycle management market, where software providers aim to help companies standardise the steps between setting prices and completing contracts. Businesses in this segment position their products as a way to bring together functions often spread across sales, legal and finance teams. That positioning has become more prominent as larger companies seek tighter control over commercial processes and contract volumes. Conga's annual contract figure points to significant transaction throughput, particularly among large corporate customers. Wathen said his immediate focus would be to maintain the work already under way in the finance organisation and support the broader business. "I'm honored to take on this role and grateful to Dave and the Board for their trust," said Ian Wathen, Chief Financial Officer, Conga. "I've spent 10 years learning the business alongside an incredible team, and I care deeply about where we're headed. My focus is to continue the momentum this team has built and make sure the Finance team is a true partner to every part of the business internally and externally."

Discover how Conga Smart CPQ eliminates quoting delays, reduces manual work, and empowers sales teams to deliver fast, accurate, and consistent offers that win more deals. B2B selling is more complex than ever. Digital acceleration, expanding product portfolios, new business models, and rising buyer expectations have made it harder for sales teams to deliver fast, accurate, and consistent quotes across every channel. Today's buyers can research and compare options instantly, making speed, transparency, and personalization essential for winning deals and protecting market share. Delivering a compelling buying experience starts with your ability to respond quickly and confidently. But many teams struggle with manual configurations, disconnected systems, slow approvals, and price or product inconsistencies - issues that create friction, introduce errors, and slow down revenue. Conga Smart Configure Price Quote (CPQ) simplifies and accelerates the entire selling process by automating configuration, pricing, and quote creation. With AI-powered insights and recommendations, sales teams can personalize offers, optimize pricing, and reduce turnaround times from days to minutes. By unifying quoting across channels - including direct sales teams, partners, and digital commerce - Smart CPQ ensures accuracy, consistency, and compliance at every step. Automated workflows reduce bottlenecks, centralized data improves visibility, and guided selling helps reps deliver the right product and price every time. Smart CPQ's high-performance architecture integrates seamlessly with CRM and ERP systems like Microsoft Dynamics 365, Salesforce Sales Cloud, and SAP, enabling users and partners to work from their preferred platforms while benefiting from a unified quoting engine. With faster quotes, fewer errors, and more predictable revenue, Smart CPQ empowers organizations to meet buyer expectations, reduce internal friction, and improve win rates across every sales channel.
