Transportation Construction Assistant

GFT is seeking a Transportation Construction Assistant (TA-1) to join our Construction Services Team in Ebensburg, PA Central and Western PA area! This role follows a remote work schedule, where work is mostly done on-site.

What you’ll be challenged to do:This is an excellent career opportunity for an experienced, motivated Transportation Construction Assistgant (TA-1) who thrives in a collaborative team environment. The role highlights a customer-focused mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional quality and results on every project. 

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: 

• Support construction and inspection teams to assure that contractors build a quality construction project.

• Support team with assigned duties to specific activities to assure plans, specifications, standards and Q.C. Plans are adhered to.

• Comply with the District and project specific overtime requirements.

• Support the Department Project Engineer/ Manager/ Supervisor or Consultant Manager/ Supervisor daily, or as required, to receive instructions and assignments.

• Support the completion PSA’s and work sheets daily.

• Support Manager/ Supervisor for any instruction or assignment in the inspection of materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with contract requirements and established standards. 

• Attend and Participate in daily huddles with field staff.

What you will bring to our firm: 

• High School Diploma, GED or post-secondary education and has the ability to read, write, and communicate in English and do basic math computation for length, area, and volume

  What we prefer you bring:

• ACI, NICET, and/or NECEPT certifications.

Compensation:The salary range for this role is $21.22/hr. or $45,000 annually.
