Requirements
  • Minimum of 8 years of management experience either in automotive or quality and warehousing environments leading over 100 associates
  • Proven track record of successful leadership of multiple manufacturing or reconditioning centers in quality or inventory management
  • Ability to use products and processes to drive excellence through Carvana quality standards
  • Willingness to be the champion of vehicle quality for Carvana and hold others accountable to our standards
  • Proven ability to manage project deliverables and metrics against aggressive targets and timelines
  • Ability to effectively present complex systems and processes to others in a succinct and clear way
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with and influencing diverse teams across the company
  • Proven track record of leading and developing others
  • Willingness to travel (up to 75% of the time)
  • Ability to communicate and interact with others effectively in a professional, courteous manner
  • Previous experience leading the successful implementation of small and large-scale initiatives
  • A quick learning curve with a proven ability to problem solve, prioritize, and multi-task effectively
  • Strong analytical thinking and organizational skills
  • Ability to provide meaningful and actionable feedback
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no DUIs and no more than two moving violations in the last 3 years)
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Requires standing for extended periods of time with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, stooping, pushing, and/or pulling in an environment that may be cold, hot, noisy, and wet and may have fumes or odors due to vehicle maintenance
  • Ability to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials
  • Ability to work outdoors regularly for extended periods of time in all weather conditions
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings, and occasional holiday hours
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently; the majority of lifting from knee to shoulder heights; other lifting required from various levels
  • Walk up to three miles each day
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
Responsibilities
  • Ensure Frontline inventory is customer-ready at the time of departure to drive seamless delivery to our customers at market hubs
  • Oversee quality, safety, productivity, and inventory management in accordance with company needs and customer requirements
  • Be accountable to objectives supporting company initiatives in the areas of financial performance, safety, quality, and customer service in compliance with all applicable internal and external policies
  • Effectively implement and manage large-scale and small-scale changes throughout multiple levels of the business
  • Partner with other functional Regional directors, Inspection Center site leaders, associates, and cross-functional support teams to identify, prioritize and solve problems impacting frontline inventory
  • Identify opportunities to improve quality, increase accuracy, optimize resources, and develop, recommend, and implement solutions
  • Support leadership in annual business planning, organizational structuring, and staffing
  • Maintain a regular presence at each Inspection Center in your region by building collaborative, mentoring relationships with the leadership teams and associates on site
  • Develop the leadership team through appropriate coaching, leadership development and training, and performance management
  • Effectively manage multiple teams and cross-functional relationships, to ensure business initiatives, process improvements, and development programs and systems are being deployed and adopted as planned
  • Regularly provide competency-based feedback and ensure leaders throughout your region are held accountable to provide competency-based feedback to their teams
  • Regularly participate in recruiting, and communicating with external candidates
  • Partner with HR Field Operations and IQR Leadership teams to maintain high employee engagement, identify future site leaders, and develop technical and leadership capabilities across the organization
