Requirements
  • At least ten years of management experience in Army maintenance, production, and logistics operations is required.
  • At least five years of experience with financial management and knowledge of Army Depot Information Systems is required.
  • Three to five years of documented management experience managing more than 50 personnel directly and indirectly with or in support of the United States military is required.
  • A minimum high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of military maintenance systems are required.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, are required.
  • The ability to understand, speak, read, and write English is required.
  • Effective communication with employees at all levels, government representatives, and outside contacts is required.
  • A valid driver's license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record is required.
  • The ability to pass a pre-employment background check is required.
  • The ability to maintain a Secret-level security clearance is required; United States citizenship is required for the clearance at this location.
  • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for prolonged periods, and twist, bend, and squat periodically is required.
  • Personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, protective-toe footwear, gloves, and hearing protection as required, must be worn.
Responsibilities
  • Formulate and accomplish the annual execution plan for maintenance and production on assigned weapons and support systems, including repair, rebuild, fabrication, modification, and conversion of major and secondary items.
  • Plan and organize assigned maintenance and production tasks; develop and recommend operating policies and procedures; oversee operational programs, programming, budgeting, maintenance, logistics, production control, and supply operations.
  • Review programs for adequacy and accuracy, coordinate adjustments and corrections, identify deviations from policy or objectives, and negotiate corrective action.
  • Determine which programs and major projects should be initiated, continued, or curtailed, establish timetables, and plan for anticipated changes in functions and programs.
  • Monitor mission performance using direct labor-hour execution, productive yield, leave management, budget compliance, and man-hour controls; evaluate information and recommend expenditure adjustments.
  • Maintain liaison between RRAD and maintenance directorates at other installations, agencies, and industries to improve production and logistics techniques, methods, operations, and processes.
  • Monitor schedule conformance, program cost conformance, inventory accuracy and excess, materiel returns, and related operational metrics.
  • Maintain the internal control system to ensure government resources are efficiently and effectively managed.
  • Ensure associated production equipment is repaired, maintained, and replaced when necessary without interfering with production schedules.
  • Remain present at the site during the standard day shift, interface with on-site officials, and serve as a point of contact for the Procuring Contracting Officer.
  • Adjust employee schedules to meet workload changes and submit a revised staffing plan within 48 hours of notice.
  • Identify the building or area where each employee is working.
  • Oversee the performance of work provided by employees assigned to support the contract.
  • Appraise work-program progress by reviewing reports against established schedules and work budgets.
  • Compare costs against accomplishments.
  • Review maintenance-program administration for compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Lead analysis of maintenance-program results and execute initiatives to improve quality, productivity, cost effectiveness, and competitiveness.
  • Ensure completed items reliably perform their designated functions for users.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Army Depots management and technical team.
  • Provide performance feedback through employee recognition, coaching, and disciplinary action.
  • Ensure communication flows between upper management and employees.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • A bachelor's degree is preferred along with five years of experience in Army maintenance, production, and logistics operations.
