Requirements

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. MBA preferred
2+ years of experience in financial analysis or a related field, preferably at a technology company
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data
Experience in financial modeling and forecasting
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
Proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools
Knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements

Responsibilities

Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support business decisions
Prepare financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for management and investors
Analyze financial data, including revenue and expenses, cash flow, and profitability, to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
Manage and monitor cash flow and working capital
Develop and maintain financial forecasts and budgets
Assist with fundraising efforts, including preparing pitch decks and financial projections
Help improve internal financial processes and controls
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Operations and Engineering, to provide financial guidance and support
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform business strategy

Desired Qualifications

Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment and familiarity with venture capital fundraising and startup metrics is a plus
CPA or CFA certification is a plus

FINANCIAL ANALYST JOB

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team at Volta Labs, a fast-growing hardware startup. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting financial data to provide insights that will drive our business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, as well as experience in financial modeling and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:
