Requirements
  • Can stand for 12 hours and walk for long periods of time
  • Can lift their arms past 90 degrees
  • Can lift items up to 10KGs
  • Not color blind
  • Comfortable with tablets
  • Comfortable working with Oil and in an oily environment (we can provide goggles/face shield if needed!)
  • Comfortable working in a noisy environment (we provide earplugs!)
  • Comfortable working in an environment between 19C and 22C.
  • Comfortable with scissors and working with needles
  • Acceptable to receiving orders / fast paced workflow
  • As the Knitting Associate, you will work in 4 day rotating shift patterns, which will consist of rotations between day and night shifts.
Responsibilities
  • Thread yarn to correct fingers or tension breaks using hooks or other tools;
  • Set-up, operate & maintain circular knitting machines;
  • Observes knitting to detect yarn breaks, used up yarn packages, and knitting defects;
  • Correct knitting defects and perform Quality checks as per error indicated;
  • Ties broken yarn ends;
  • Clean, oil, lubricate machines as appropriate;
  • Quality assurance checks;
  • Mount the head of thread;
  • Clean and thread the unifeeder;
  • Can perform changes from 1 to 2 single needles.
