Director – Billing

• Directly supervise Billing Managers and provide oversight, leadership, and guidance for the department

• Serve as the subject matter expert and go-to person for all revenue cycle processes

• Develop and implement procedures for continual quality improvement in billing to improve the accuracy andtimelysubmission of all data to process claims according to compliance guidelines

• Work with enterprise leadership toidentifyoperations that can bemodifiedto enhance revenue

• Accountable for being knowledgeable and understanding of all aspects of the revenue cycle staff

• Performtimelyaudits for current procedures tomonitorand improve efficiency of billing and collections operations

• Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures

• Keep apprised of trendsimpactingcharge, coding, collection, and other billing functions and takeappropriate actionaccordingly

• Participate in ongoing education efforts to keep on top of changing regulations and compliance requirements

• Other duties as assigned

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related fieldrequired

• Medical Coding or Billing certification preferred

• 5+ years of experience in medical billing and collectionsrequired

• ExperienceutilizingMicrosoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, and Teams

• Previousexperience with an electronic medical/health record;AdvancedMDexperience preferred

• Detailed knowledge of CPT, ICD-10 codes, HIPAA, medical terminology, and other associated medical billing regulations

• Proven experience in a leadership/supervisory role

• Ability to work effectively as a team member with a strong collaborative management style

• Strong communicationskills, both verbal and written
