Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • At least three years of experience researching and writing private and government grants and successful managing grant reporting timelines
  • Understanding of Grant Processes: Familiarity with the grant application process, including guidelines, timelines, and submission requirements.
  • Budgeting and Financial Literacy: Ability to work with budgets and financial data.
  • Ability to work effectively both as a team member and independently
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough research to identify grant funding opportunities for local programming.
  • Collaborate with program managers and directors to prepare Letters of Intent (LOIs), proposals, and budgets for funding requests.
  • Maintain strong relationships with current funders, providing regular & timely reports and updates on funded programs.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Director to prepare budgets.
  • Collaborate with World Relief Home Office staff on identifying and pursuing grant opportunities within the network.
  • Stay updated on current program details, outcomes, departmental needs, and organizational direction.
  • Plan, prepare, and facilitate site visits for funders to showcase the impact of funded programs.
  • Edit and submit comprehensive grant reports to funders in collaboration with program managers.
  • Maintain detailed notes on foundations and grant opportunities.
  • Organize and update proposals in the World Relief database.
  • Actively research opportunities to develop new relationships with foundations and potential funding sources.
