Requirements
  • A bachelor’s degree and part-time or full-time work experience with counseling, customer service, and/or administrative support.
  • Demonstrated ability to collect and analyze data and to use independent judgment where appropriate
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a demonstrated ability to work with a diverse client population, and commitment to continuous quality improvement and customer services.
  • Experience with and knowledge of PC based administrative software.
  • Any combination of experience with Ellucian’s Banner, COGNOS, and/or Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and/or institutional financial aid program rules, regulations, or processes.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver counseling services to current and prospective students and their families regarding the financial aid process, procedures, and program rules.
  • Assist with the undergraduate caseload of students including preliminary review and processing of financial aid applications.
  • Maintain all financial aid records and ensure the highest standards of customer/client services.
  • Communicate with students to support established procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and University policies.
  • Administer scholarship, loan, and work programs to over 1,250 financial aid applicants each year.
  • Monitor enrollment status and review requests for additional aid in unusual or emergency circumstances.
