- Strong background in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.
- Proven mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of safety requirements, including Lockout/Tagout, confined space entry, personal protective equipment usage, hot work procedures, powered industrial trucks, fall protection, and hoisting and rigging.
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to select and properly use the right tools for each task.
- Experience using computerized maintenance management systems or basic computer systems to document work and manage parts.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
- Ability to create simple sketches or notes to communicate maintenance work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Solid math skills, including measurements, conversions, and basic formulas used in maintenance work.
- Perform hands-on maintenance and repairs on a wide range of industrial equipment.
- Maintain mechanical systems including bearings, shafts, pulleys, belts, chains, motors, and gearboxes.
- Service conveyance systems, piping, and utilities including steam, air, and water.
- Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems to ensure reliable operation and reduce downtime.
- Diagnose and resolve equipment issues impacting safety, quality, and production efficiency.
- Identify root causes of mechanical failures and understand related electrical interactions.
- Execute repairs efficiently and communicate findings, corrective actions, and recommendations to maintenance and operations teams.
- Perform scheduled preventive-maintenance inspections, measurements, lubrication, and component replacements.
- Use condition-monitoring tools including infrared thermography, oil analysis, and basic ultrasonics to identify early signs of equipment failure.
- Address issues identified through preventive and predictive maintenance activities and contribute to refining maintenance job plans.
- Complete work orders supporting plant initiatives, upgrades, and reliability improvements.
- Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and process enhancements.
- Contribute to initiatives that improve operational efficiency and equipment performance.
- Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to ensure effective execution of work.
- Mentor and support the development of entry-level technicians in Levels C and D.
- Partner with senior technicians in Level A on more complex tasks, installations, and overhauls.
- Contribute to teamwork, learning, and continuous improvement.
- Working knowledge of electrical systems for troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Welding, machining, or equipment modification experience.
- Experience with vibration analysis or advanced diagnostic tools.
- Experience mentoring technicians or leading small-scale maintenance efforts.
- Three years of experience in maintenance.
