Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • One to three years of previous management experience in retail or a similar service-oriented business or environment is required.
  • Basic math and computer skills are required, including the ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets, understand computerized time and attendance, and use point-of-sale systems.
  • The ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, in a clear manner is required.
  • Excellent customer service skills are required.
  • The ability to work flexible days and hours is required to meet the needs of a seven-day-per-week business.
  • A personal vehicle is required to transport store receipts to the bank.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the store manager with the overall operation of the business unit.
  • Develop, coach, and train all direct reports in the business unit.
  • Create an atmosphere of ongoing exceptional customer service for internal and external customers.
  • Make recommendations for hiring and evaluating associates on the team.
  • Assist the store manager with daily administrative and clerical functions of store operations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, including resolving customer concerns.
  • Fulfill the duties of store personnel when needed.
  • Model, monitor, and enforce compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Monitor sales transactions associated with purchases and ensure proper sales procedures are followed.
  • Maintain the general appearance of the store and premises according to agency standards.
  • Assist in enforcing store safety and security procedures and ensure that safety procedures are enforced on an ongoing basis; act as safety captain in some stores.
  • Supervise associates, including team leads.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • An associate's degree or higher is preferred.
  • Fluency in a language other than English is preferred.
