Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Security Management, Information Systems, or related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in information and cyber security, 4+ years in a leadership or management role, and 3+ years of progressive leadership experience in application security
  • Extensive experience in security management roles, with a proven track record of developing and implementing effective security policies and programs
  • Strong understanding of information security principles and practices, including access control systems, product security, network security, incident response, and risk management
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and influencing skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with business leaders, engineering leaders and customers
  • Extensive knowledge of information security principles, standards, frameworks, and best practices, such as NIST SP 800-53, NIST CSF, COBIT, ISO27001, CIS, HITRUST, COSO, OWASP, or equivalents
  • Strong leadership skills to grow talent, build high performing security teams and foster a culture of security awareness
  • Excellent communication skills for effectively conveying information to stakeholders at all levels
  • Crisis management and incident response skills to handle security incidents effectively
Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate the information security vision, strategy, and roadmap for OpenGov
  • Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies and policies to protect OpenGov’s organization’s assets, including product, platform, digital and human resources
  • Lead the security team in the identification, development, implementation, and maintenance of security processes and initiatives to reduce risks, respond to incidents, and limit exposure to liability in all areas of financial, product and personal risk
  • Conduct and oversee regular security assessments, audits, and risk analyses to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements
  • Provide leadership, direction, and guidance in assessing and evaluating security risks and response strategies
  • Serve as the key point of contact for all security-related issues, including crisis management and incident response planning and execution
  • Monitor and evaluate the information security trends, threats, and best practices, and implement appropriate actions and solutions
  • Manage the Security budget and resources, ensuring optimal allocation and utilization
  • Directly supervise and grow the Global Security Team
  • Provide regular status updates to the Product Engineering and Executive leadership team
