Job Summary:
The Assistant Clinic Manager for Regionals & Outreach (NP) works in collaboration with a multidisciplinary health care team. The NP provides healthcare to employees and other affiliate groups at the VUMC main campus and at local and regional sites. The Asst Clinic Manager for Regionals & Outreach will be the main liaison between VUMC’s main-campus and the regional hospitals, which include Vanderbilt Tullahoma-Harton Hospital; Vanderbilt Bedford County Hospital; and Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital, and their employee health nurses, as well as One Hundred Oaks and other satellite locations. Key Responsibilities – Clinical
Obtains and documents a health history; performs and documents complete, system-focused, or symptom-specific physical examination, assessment, and plan of care.
Utilizes evidence-based, approved practice protocols in planning and implementing care; initiates appropriate referrals and consultations; provides specialty specific consultation services upon request and within specialty scope of practice;
Key Responsibilities – Quality
Actively promotes and participates in quality improvement initiatives.
Be active in the development, revision, and updating of regional hospital Occupational (or Employee) health protocols, polices, and procedures to ensure consistency across main campus, regional and other satellite facilities.
Key Responsibilities – People
Member of the management team overseeing the Asst Mgr, Patient Care Services (Outreach Assistant Manager) and supporting the employee health nurse at each regional healthcare site to develop and implement Occupational Health processes, provide Occupational Health services, and identify associated issues.
Acts as a nurse mentor and advisor to regional occupational health nurses and leadership.
Educate regional leadership on Occupational Health processes, safety initiatives and accident prevention.
Maintain effective communication with leadership, utilizing diplomacy and discretion, and meet regularly to align goals for the Occupational Health services/programs.

Provides occupational health services to all employee populations at regional sites and main campus.

Develop, monitor, and submit regular reports for volumes, process updates, meeting minutes, etc.
Work in partnership with the Regional Team to reach goals, meet targets, and deadlines for the mutual benefit and improvement of the region.
