  • Candidates must have experience with high-end custom millwork.
  • Candidates must know how to build countertops and casework.
  • Candidates must fully understand shop drawings and be able to read blueprints, relate elevations, plan views, and detail views, and accurately read a tape measure.
  • Candidates must be able to sand solid woods and veneers using pneumatic sanders and hand sanding.
  • Candidates must verify drawing and part dimensions before assembling projects.
  • Candidates must be able to create jigs for routing reveals, arcs, radiuses, wall plates, and wood profiles.
  • Candidates must be able to identify different species of solid wood and veneers.
  • Candidates must be able to fabricate solid-surface materials such as Corian.
  • Candidates must be able to apply plastic laminate to flat and radius vertical surfaces without bubbles and with tight joints.
  • Candidates must have their own tools or be able to obtain the tools on the required tool list.
  • Candidates must be able to solve problems involving machining mistakes and unclear shop drawings.
  • Candidates must be able to handle multiple tasks in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Candidates must maintain an organized work area and comply with company safety and health regulations.
  • Candidates must have a minimum of five years of experience as a millwork bench carpenter.
  • Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, seek assistance for heavier loads, and use proper lifting techniques.
  • Candidates must be able to push and pull materials of various sizes and weights.
  • Candidates must be able to stand for approximately 100% of the work shift at a designated workstation.
  • Candidates must be able to reach heights of up to 60 inches to position and retrieve materials.
  • Candidates must be able to work around moving machinery, dust contaminants, and moderate-to-high noise levels while using provided personal protective equipment.
  • Candidates must have or be able to obtain the listed hand tools, measuring tools, chisels, saws, planes, scrapers, wrenches, bits, and related equipment.
Responsibilities
  • Craft detailed custom millwork components according to exacting quality and accuracy standards.
  • Fabricate reception units and diewalls using countertop and casework construction techniques.
  • Read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints to complete project requirements accurately.
  • Sand solid woods and veneers using pneumatic sanders and hand sanding.
  • Verify drawing and part dimensions before assembling projects.
  • Create jigs for routing reveals, arcs, radiuses, wall plates, wood profiles, and other applications.
  • Identify solid wood and veneer species during fabrication.
  • Fabricate solid-surface materials such as Corian.
  • Apply plastic laminate to flat and radius vertical surfaces with bubble-free, tight joints.
  • Lead a team through fabrication of diewalls, wall panel systems, standing and running trim projects, display cases, nurse stations, reception desks, and related millwork.
  • Resolve machining mistakes and unclear shop drawings to complete projects in a timely manner.
  • Handle multiple tasks in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and orderly work area.
  • Follow company safety and health regulations.
  • Lift, push, pull, stand, and reach as required to perform millwork fabrication duties.
  • Work safely around moving machinery, dust, and moderate-to-high noise levels using appropriate personal protective equipment.
