Our Toyota Connected DriveLink team is seeking a DevOps Engineer to create, maintain, support, and improve complex cloud operations for cutting edge microservice based platforms. On this team you will solve complex problems and work alongside talented DevOps Engineers, Software Engineers, Agile Delivery Leads, and Technical Product Managers who have a passion for driving innovation in mobility, safety, and convenience services. We love people who think big and like to get their hands dirty to help us build exciting initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Manage, evolve, and build CI/CD pipelines.
• Maintain, support, and build out infrastructure and services currently operating on AWS.
• Creatively solve technical issues.
• Deliver solutions in a complex environment including distributed systems and applications.
• Assist in building world-class, multi-cloud capable, state-of-the-art products by:
  • Automating build processes
  • Incorporating static code quality tools
  • Helping identify code promotion qualities
  • Utilizing and promoting the use of advanced deployment patterns like Canary and Blue/Green
  • Building highly resilient cloud eco-systems capable of high availability and scale
  • Deploying to public cloud providers like AWS
  • Developing and maintaining applications that use Docker containers, Kubernetes as an orchestrator, or as full VMs with base images.

Required Qualifications:

• 1.5+ years of production experience working as a DevOps Engineer or Software Engineer
• Experience authoring infrastructure as code using using an IaC technology (Terraform or similar)
• Hands on experience in cloud computing using AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience building and running containers
• Experience deploying and operating applications on Kubernetes
• Experience writing and automating tasks using shell scripting
• Experience working in an Agile software engineering environment 
• Experience with CI/CD (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or similar)
• Experience with branching, merging, and maintaining version control systems using Git or similar
• Ability to respond to and resolve incidents/issues in a timely manner, including troubleshooting infrastructure and application problems
• Demonstrates problem-solving, troubleshooting, decision making skills
• Solutions-oriented with an ability to keep an open mind while finding agreeable solutions
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Ability to develop healthy working relationships and collaborate with peers and leaders
• Exhibits integrity and high standards in work quality
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Values diversity and differences amongst individuals in interactions
