- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduation from an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, or Certified Ortho Tech program, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with electronic medical record systems.
- The ability to multitask effectively while maintaining professionalism and patient confidentiality.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Escort patients to examination rooms, assist with dressing and undressing, and ensure their comfort and privacy.
- Review patient registration details, collect necessary forms, and complete electronic medical record intake documentation.
- Prepare surgical orders, schedule laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures, obtain test results, and manage medical clearances for surgeries.
- Manage patient callbacks regarding messages, prescriptions, and referrals, and monitor and respond to physician queues.
- Demonstrate the proper fitting and usage of durable medical equipment, including braces and soft goods, when needed.
- At least one year of medical office experience.
- Experience with Epic electronic medical records.
