Requirements
  • 10 years of experience, may have supervisory or lead experience.
  • 10 years of relevant experience managing large-scale cybersecurity or SOC contracts.
  • Experience leading federal cybersecurity programs.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and coordination skills.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies and architectures (e.g. Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
  • Understanding of network and web related protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, HTTP, HTTPS, routing protocols).
  • Familiar with SOC SIEM, SOAR, and security monitoring tools.
  • Must have experience in using ticketing systems to manage incidents and requests (e.g., ServiceNow tools).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex security topics in an understandable manner.
  • Experience in MS Office Suite (e.g., MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint).
  • Must be able to capture security metric data from tools to present trends for decision-making.
  • Must have an active Secret Clearance or higher.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise a broad team of engineers and other technical staff supporting SOC operations.
  • Create processes; assess incident reports; and develop and implement necessary crisis communication plans.
  • Develop and implement security policies and procedures for incident response and vulnerability management.
  • Maintain adherence to relevant security standards and regulations.
  • Coordinate, lead and oversee the response to security incidents.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on SOC’s operations effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with team members and other program groups to improve the customer’s engineering tools, systems, procedures, and data/infrastructure security.
  • Provide On-Call escalation support 24x7x365, as needed.
  • Implement solutions using industry standard patterns and best practices.
  • Stay current with security industry trends, including emerging threats and security solutions.
  • Hire, train, and evaluate team members’ performance.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems or Computer Engineering.
  • PMP certification or equivalent preferred.
