Requirements
  • A Class A license, a clean driving record, and a valid medical card are required.
  • A Hazmat endorsement is required, or the candidate must be willing to obtain one.
  • The candidate must be willing to work full-time hours, approximately 40 hours per week.
  • Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations is required.
  • Three years of driving experience with tractor trailers and/or straight trucks is required.
  • The candidate must be registered with DACH.
  • Experience with Department of Transportation compliance, logging hours, and roadside inspections is required.
  • The candidate must be confident in a road check Level 1 through Level 3.
  • The candidate must demonstrate longevity in past employment.
Responsibilities
  • Help establish and lead a team of drivers in the new Salt Lake City location.
  • Assist the Transport Supervisor with daily operations and oversight of the driving team.
  • Train new drivers.
  • Safely collect, deliver, and store medical waste containers at customer locations.
  • Provide customer service and build positive customer relationships.
  • Operate straight trucks and tractor trailers as large as 26 and 53 feet long in a safe manner.
  • Complete deliveries according to the time schedule and clearly communicate changes or challenges as they arise.
  • Load and unload materials, and prioritize and organize the truck according to the schedule and needs.
  • Manage a route according to leadership direction and deliver timely, efficient, and effective service.
  • Comply with Department of Transportation regulations, log hours, and complete roadside inspections.
  • Perform heavy lifting.
  • Complete deliveries on time.
