This is an exciting time to join Opella as we evolve our brands to meet the ever-changing needs of our consumers and customers to unlock sources of growth. Our internship position will provide a comprehensive experience of how we develop our go-to-market strategies, help support the field sales organization to implement brand objectives and provide analytical support to drive category leadership and annual financial goals.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop knowledge and understanding of the OTC (Over the Counter)/Personal Care industry and Opella CHC (Consumer Health Care) strategies and business practices.
- Understand assortment, merchandising, pricing, and shelving of our brands at key retailers like Target, Walmart, CVS, and Walgreens.
- Assist our sales strategy, category development, or revenue growth management teams in developing customer/category assortment, merchandising, pricing, shelving, and/or trade promotion strategies and tactics.
- Support collaboration with field-based teams and cross-functional resources to disseminate best practices, standard processes, and procedures to drive growth.
- Research and analyze trends utilizing a suite of tools and data resources to answer business questions and identify growth opportunities.
- Develop intern project and deliver a final presentation to Opella leadership and peers.
- Attend intern program development opportunities including coffee chats with key leaders, training sessions, and team building/volunteerism.
About You
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in: Accounting, Business Administration, Business and/or Data Analytics, Economics, Management, Marketing, Operations, or Supply Chain preferred.
- Candidates must be available 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday during standard business hours in EST.
- Candidates must be available to participate in a 10-week engagement June – August 2024.
- Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and project management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization
- Ability to develop and translate strategy into action, utilizing a compelling narrative and motivating others
- Extremely organized, dependable, and self-motivated with the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
- Eager to improve oneself, the immediate team, and the greater community
- Microsoft Office proficient; experience with data visualization and modelling tools a plus
