  • 5+ years experience in Media, PR, and thought leadership
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in Marketing, Communications, Content or related field
  • Background in writing or journalism - strong communication and writing skills
  • Be able to manage disparate internal stakeholders
  • Be a vocal advocate and positive influence towards team working and staff integration
  • Ability to summarize key issues and opportunities, including assessing data and creating a narrative for external distribution
  • Ability to construct a narrative and communicate that in verbal and written format (in prose and presentation styles)
  • Ability to critically think about core issues by researching and synthesizing informations from a range of sources and stakeholders, and brainstorming with the team to improve the rigor of our strategy and thinking
  • Proven track record working with senior executives; demonstrated capacity to convene, manage and lead large groups— ensuring all voices are heard but with an ability to drive to consensus and action
Responsibilities
  • Define, refine and craft a thought leadership point of view and effectively communicate this to internal and external stakeholders
  • Align key stakeholders around the thought leadership strategy
  • Create appropriate communication materials (bylines, speeches, presentations, etc.) to support executive outreach with media
  • Partner across marketing functions to ensure thought leadership is part of marketing campaigns
  • Lead the day-to-day supervision of media planning, including press briefings, media events, pitch materials, press releases, oversight of buy recommendations, execution details, budgets/accounting, associated with a thought leadership program
  • Monitor and measure impact of the thought leadership program, providing benchmark and goals
  • Manage staff thought leadership efforts in the creation of high-quality, timely and high-impact outputs
