Requirements
  • An associate or bachelor's degree must be completed by the program start date in industrial, process, or systems engineering; operations research; supply chain; data science or analytics; computer science; information systems; mathematics; statistics; finance; accounting; economics; or a related analytical, business, or technical field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to break down ambiguous issues, work with data, identify root causes, and form well-supported conclusions.
  • A systems-thinking and continuous-improvement mindset, including curiosity about how people, processes, data, controls, and technology interact end to end.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to quality, sound judgment, risk awareness, responsible use of data and technology, and positive client outcomes.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teammates and stakeholders and communicate complex ideas in a clear and organized manner.

Responsibilities
  • Learn Parametric's investment strategies, operating model, and business-critical Operations workflows, including how Market, Client, and Control functions support clients, portfolios, risk management, and business growth.
  • Learn and execute business-critical investment operations workflows accurately and on time, including cash and position reconciliation, trade lifecycle support, client servicing, corporate actions, account onboarding and maintenance, contracts, oversight activities, and billing, depending on team assignment.
  • Develop an end-to-end understanding of assigned processes, including activities, decisions, systems, data flows, controls, handoffs, and upstream and downstream dependencies.
  • Investigate exceptions, breaks, recurring operational issues, and client-impacting events using structured problem-solving and data analysis; identify root causes, assess impacts, and recommend sustainable solutions.
  • Partner with Operations teams, portfolio managers, traders, sales, product management, technology teams, external providers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues, improve handoffs, and support business priorities.
  • Perform quality control and verification activities, maintain accurate records and documentation, and help ensure operational processes meet established policies, procedures, and control standards.
  • Analyze operational and investment data to identify patterns, anomalies, trends, bottlenecks, and emerging risks, and build reports, dashboards, or analytical tools that turn data into actionable insights.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, automate, or redesign workflows and contribute to process mapping, requirements gathering, testing, implementation, and adoption activities.
  • Collaborate with Automation, Reinvention & Collaboration and other partners on process-improvement initiatives, workflow modernization efforts, analytics projects, automation solutions, and AI-enabled capabilities.
  • Use or learn tools such as Excel, Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Python, workflow automation platforms, process-modeling tools, and approved AI solutions, as appropriate to the assignment.
  • Contribute to operational excellence, analytics, automation, or process-improvement initiatives and present findings, recommendations, and outcomes to team members and business partners.
Desired Qualifications
  • Coursework, internships, or project experience involving process mapping, continuous improvement, business analysis, data analysis, automation, workflow design, programming, analytics, or artificial intelligence.
  • Exposure to Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Python, workflow automation platforms, process-modeling tools, version control platforms, or similar technologies.
  • Familiarity with financial markets, investment management, or business operations; prior investment operations experience is not required.
  • Experience contributing to a cross-functional project, presenting recommendations, developing a prototype, or helping others adopt a new process, workflow, or technology solution.

Fortis prices $1B subordinated notes due 2057 with 6.625% and 6.875% coupons to refinance debt

Fortis Inc. announced on 9 September 2026 the pricing of a $1 billion public offering of junior subordinated notes maturing 30 March 2057. The issuance comprises two $500 million tranches with coupon rates of 6.625% and 6.875%. The St. John's, Newfoundland-based regulated electric and gas utility holding company plans to use net proceeds to repay maturing debt and support general corporate purposes. Closing is expected on 21 September 2026. The firm commitment offering is managed by a syndicate including Morgan Stanley, MUFG Securities Americas, Wells Fargo Securities, and BofA Securities as joint bookrunners. Fortis reported $12 billion in revenues in 2025 and held $79 billion in total assets as of 30 June 2026.

Ameren prices $900M junior subordinated notes offering due 2057

Ameren Corporation announced the pricing of a public offering of $900 million in junior subordinated notes due 2057 at 100% of their principal amount. The transaction is expected to close on 18 September 2026. The notes will bear interest at an annual rate of 6.45% from issuance until 15 March 2032. After that date, the rate will reset every five years based on the Five-Year Treasury Rate plus 1.868%, with a floor of 6.45%. Ameren intends to use the net proceeds for general corporate purposes, including repaying short-term debt. Barclays Capital, BofA Securities, J.P. Morgan Securities, Morgan Stanley, MUFG Securities Americas, Truist Securities, PNC Capital Markets, and Scotia Capital are joint book-running managers for the offering.

Morgan Stanley raises Oracle target to $210, sees 32% upside vs Adobe's 10% downside
