Requirements
  • An engineering degree in Mechanical, Materials, or Chemical Engineering.
  • At least 16 years of oil and gas experience in refining, petrochemical, LNG, or related oil and gas industries.
  • Sound knowledge of upstream and downstream oil and gas business.
  • Knowledge of Risk-Based Inspection methodologies, fixed equipment inspection procedures, inspection optimization, storage tank inspection, Fitness for Service and life-extension studies, repair scope preparation, API damage mechanisms, codes and standards, corrosion, welding, non-destructive testing, thickness inspection management and analysis, corrosion management and analysis, and inspection plan development and optimization.
  • Knowledge of oil and gas plant operations, operating-condition safety, SHE risks, spills, safety incidents, equipment failures, oil and gas field roles, corrective and preventive maintenance strategies, and international design, quality, and equipment standards.
  • Working knowledge of ASME Section VIII Divisions 1 and 2, ASME Section V, ASME Section IX, ASME Section II, ASME B31.3, ASME B31.1, ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, and ASME PCC-2.
  • Field in-service inspection and repair experience for pressure equipment, heat exchangers, piping systems, pressure relief devices, and above-ground storage tanks in operating units.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and in different locations according to business needs.
  • Ability to travel internationally according to business needs.
Responsibilities
  • Provide strong technical leadership in the Mechanical Integrity FE domain for storage tanks and oil and gas assets.
  • Provide technical solutions in tankage asset integrity.
  • Develop innovative solutions, automations, and methodologies to create differentiation for Quest.
  • Drive and manage engineers executing tank integrity workflows with quality at scale.
  • Provide pre-sales support for new business deals and post-sales support for assigned projects.
  • Drive core team members to recruit skilled resources and train internal resources to build required competency.
  • Coordinate activities among customers, the sales organization, and global technical teams.
  • Lead, develop, nurture, and manage global customer relationships and strategic partnering initiatives for complex business and technology needs.
  • Review technical scoping and estimates, perform feasibility studies, map customer expectations, and design solutions.
Desired Qualifications
  • Certification and in-depth working knowledge in API 580, API 510, API 570, API 571, API 653, BSI ISO/ENI AS standards, AWS, CSWIP, or ASNT non-destructive testing techniques.
  • Experience with Meridium, Credo, Pestra, and SAP.
  • Experience implementing automation, artificial intelligence, and Internet of Things techniques in oil and gas portfolios.
  • Knowledge of APM Meridium, Pestra, or Credo software.
  • Good interpersonal skills, adaptability, and collaborative work with other teams.

Hillhouse invests in Quest Global to accelerate engineering growth

Quest Global, a global outsourced engineering services provider, has secured a minority investment from Hillhouse Investment through a combination of primary capital infusion and share purchases from existing stakeholders. The transaction involves funds managed by Hillhouse Investment Management. The Singapore-based company, which employs over 21,500 people across 93 global delivery centres in 18 countries, will use the capital to advance strategic priorities and enhance its engineering capabilities for major original equipment manufacturers worldwide. Quest Global specialises in aerospace, automotive, energy and semiconductor sectors. CEO Ajit Prabhu said the investment validates the company's differentiated value proposition and growth strategy. Hillhouse is acquiring a 5% stake in Quest Global at a $4.5 billion valuation, outbidding Temasek in a pre-IPO round. The deal represents a significant jump from Quest Global's previous $1.8 billion valuation when Carlyle Group acquired a stake in 2023. AROBS acquires Quest Global Romania in all-stock deal with one-year lock-up

Romanian tech group AROBS is acquiring Quest Global Romania from Craiova in an all-stock transaction, marking the company's first acquisition paid entirely through share issuance. The newly issued shares will be subject to a one-year lock-up period. Quest Global Romania, headquartered in Craiova, employs approximately 110 specialists and provides software development, testing, embedded solutions and IT consulting services across sectors including semiconductors, healthcare and automotive. The company is part of Singapore-based Quest Global, which operates in 18 countries with over 22,000 employees. The acquisition strengthens AROBS's engineering capabilities and international presence. Quest Global Romania's management will continue under Ana-Maria Vasilescu's leadership. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of the year.
