Sparkfund operates a platform and financing model in the energy-as-a-service (EaaS) market, helping commercial and industrial customers upgrade energy infrastructure such as HVAC, lighting, and electric vehicle charging through a subscription plan. Instead of paying upfront, clients enter a recurring payment that covers the technology, installation, and ongoing maintenance. The company’s Lens platform connects utilities, energy service companies (ESCOs), and manufacturers, streamlining the end-to-end process of identifying, developing, financing, and implementing EaaS projects so partners can offer subscription-based energy solutions to their customers. Sparkfund generates revenue by taking a portion of the subscription payments from projects it facilitates. Its goal is to expand access to energy efficiency and decarbonization by removing upfront capital barriers and enabling scalable deployment of sustainable infrastructure.
