Join our Global Antigen Design (GAD) function at the Marcy l’Etoile site as a Research Lead Bacteriology and you’ll contributes to GAD’s vision of delivering high-performing target antigens to Sanofi’s pipeline by identifying internal and external research opportunities and maximizing synergy between projects.
You lead research activities for new vaccine projects, ensuring they stay on schedule and within budget. You represent the Global Antigen Design (GAD) function within the Global Project Team. You Owner collaborates closely with research scientists, developing and executing the project’s scientific strategy and development plan. you oversee GAD timelines, resources, budget, and deliverable quality. Additionally, you report project status, address issues, risks, and delays, and propose mitigation plans. you ensure that activities align with the project timelines set by the Global Project Team (GPT).

Main responsibilities:
- Lead and guide the scientific strategy for the project within Global Antigen Design, operating in an Agile environment
- Develop technical and research plan objectives aligned with the project and Global Antigen Design’s R&D strategies
- Align GAD research activities with clinical trial expectations, including IND submissions, support for CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls), and toxicology testing as needed
- Oversee Bacteriology research efforts to optimize efficiency, workflow, and alignment with project timelines, in consultation with the Global Project Team (GPT)
- Collaborate closely with project teams, project heads, and colleagues across various departments (CMC, clinical, regulatory, mRNA) to advance vaccine candidates into clinical trials
- Identify internal and external innovation opportunities
About you
- Experience Highlights: Experience in R&D and Vaccinology in similar transversal leadership position
- Skills: Demonstrated Skills and experience in Bacteriology, Vaccinology, Microbiology. Good skills in Immunology, Monoclonal Antibody, Antigen design. Capacity to evolve in a multicultural environment, to solve complex scientific problems, to define and communicate strategy
- Education: PhD or similar in Biology/Vaccinology
- Languages: English (French will be a plus)
