Adventist Health operates as a nonprofit, faith-based integrated health system in the United States, primarily serving communities on the West Coast and in Hawaii. It manages a network of over 400 care sites, including 26 acute care hospitals, providing a wide range of healthcare services from primary and specialty care to hospital treatments and wellness programs. The organization reinvests its earnings into the communities it serves, aiming to enhance health outcomes and increase access to care. Revenue is generated through patient services, insurance reimbursements, and government programs like Medicare and Medicaid. Adventist Health distinguishes itself from competitors by its commitment to community health and its nonprofit status, which allows it to focus on patient care rather than profit. The goal of Adventist Health is to improve the overall health of the communities it serves.
