Environmental Compliance Specialist
Key Role:
As an Environmental Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing environmental compliance programs, conducting environmental assessments and audits to ensure adherence to regulations, and preparing and maintaining documentation related to environmental compliance. You will collect, manage, and analyze environmental data, collaborate with various departments to address compliance issues, and review, interpret, and develop approaches for implementing environmental policies and guidance. You will develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. You will work independently with some guidance; may review or guide activities of more junior employees. Additionally, you will provide basic consulting skills to support clients in achieving compliance, stay updated on current environmental regulations and best practices, and cover media areas, such as air quality, water quality, solid waste, and hazardous waste.
Basic Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in environmental compliance
Experience with project management and client management
Experience in working with DoD clients or equivalent in managing or supporting environmental compliance programs
Experience with Microsoft Office tool suite, including Excel and PowerPoint
Knowledge of environmental regulations, such as the Clean Water Act (CWA), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA), National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), or Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA)
Ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to design and implement environmental compliance data collection and analysis initiatives
Ability to obtain Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with emerging contaminants, such as Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS)
Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills
Secret clearance
Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
