Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Chemical, or Electrical Technology preferred), with a strong working knowledge across related engineering disciplines common to the process industry
  • Experience as Systems Engineer, Process Engineer, Project Manager, Computer Engineer
  • Sophisticated troubleshooting skills with high-speed manufacturing equipment such as AC/DC motors, VFDs, PLCs, servo motors, and PLC I/O modules
  • Knowledge of Industrial Network Communication protocols (Ethernet, DeviceNet)
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical system drawings
  • Experience with instrumentation
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation; technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to extract, evaluate, and utilize data for process improvement from applicable systems
  • Strong technical, problem solving, and process engineering skills
  • Ability to work on cross-functional teams and multi-disciplinary projects with minimal guidance
  • Acts as an owner, results oriented, & strong customer focus skills
Responsibilities
  • Experience in Industrial Automation using Rockwell / Siemens/ B&R Automation PLCs or equivalent
  • Design and continuously improve Brewery automation and controls systems, supporting upgrades and process changes as necessary
  • Promote and enforce effective change management, and ensure engineering, programming, and automation standards are upheld
  • Develop and implement process improvements to maintain and enhance the consistency, quality, and performance of Brewery production systems, and to improve key performance indicators
  • Support plant operations by maintaining process control systems
  • Provide training and sophisticated troubleshooting to the site
  • Implement standards at the site that ensure the global consistency of manufacturing systems
  • Support brewers and technicians as needed in the troubleshooting of process and controls equipment
  • Become a subject matter expert in the brewing process from start to finish
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Siemens, Rockwell Industrial Automation software, or equivalent software
  • Database experience
  • Coding C programming language
  • VBA, SQL, C, C++
  • Experience in systems configuration and maintenance
  • Basic knowledge of SAP
  • Experience with coaching and training skilled trades in a unionized environment
  • Utilize problem solving/6 Sigma lean manufacturing to achieve both financial/operational performance targets
  • Support CAPEX Engineers for viability and cost return projects
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays to support the brewery operations and project execution
