Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Produce customer-facing technical documentation for technical audiences, including API references, user guides, hardware documentation, training materials, release notes, and code examples.
  • Partner with software, hardware, support, product, and marketing teams to gather information, understand documentation requirements, and ensure content is accurate, complete, and aligned with product functionality.
  • Participate in the product development lifecycle to identify, plan, and deliver documentation additions, enhancements, and updates for new releases.
  • Analyze existing and proposed content to identify opportunities for reuse, single-sourcing, consistency, and improved maintainability across documentation assets.
  • Identify, track, and resolve documentation gaps, inconsistencies, and defects related to product maintenance, troubleshooting, and user workflows, using Git and Jira through hands-on work on the product and APIs.
  • Define, review, and improve documentation management processes, standards, and best practices while incorporating relevant industry trends and advancements.
  • Ensure consistent, accurate, and user-friendly information across documentation websites, open-source repositories, learning management systems, and knowledge bases.
  • Review and edit peer content to maintain quality, clarity, consistency, and adherence to established documentation standards.
  • Recommend process enhancements, improve content discoverability, and advocate for customer documentation needs across teams.

D-Wave secures $219,000 from Canada's NRC to develop quantum computing software for complex optimisation problems

D-Wave Quantum has received up to C$300,000 in funding from Canada's National Research Council through its Applied Quantum Computing Challenge programme. The company will use the funds to develop advanced software and algorithms for its Advantage2 annealing quantum computers. Working from its Quantum Centre of Engineering Excellence in Burnaby, British Columbia, D-Wave will create new graph minor-embedding algorithms for its Zephyr topology. These will be integrated into the company's open-source Ocean software development kit. The new algorithms are expected to enable organisations to solve larger, more complex optimisation problems across applications including logistics, manufacturing, scheduling, resource allocation, machine learning, and materials simulation. The project aims to expand the capabilities of D-Wave's dual-platform quantum computing systems, which offer both annealing and gate-model technologies.
