Requirements
  • Two years of customer service experience.
  • Two years of medical equipment experience.
  • Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work with tight timelines and adhere to deadlines.
  • Demonstrated basic understanding of clinical, medical and insurance terminology.
  • Demonstrated excellent computer skills to include word processing, spreadsheet, email, and calendar, software programs.
  • Demonstrated excellent telephone and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to be organized, set priorities, work independently, and be a self-starter.
Responsibilities
  • Provide customer service, technical and operational support to the Wheelchair shop.
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of wheelchair products and act as a resource for patients, physicians, nurses, and other staff.
  • See paperwork through from start to finish for wheelchairs and other equipment provided by Intermountain Healthcare.
  • Communicate with clients and referral sources to provide updates on equipment tracking.
  • Collect and document orders and updates in the patient’s medical record, including all communication and necessary documentation.
  • Work with the pre-authorization department to ensure all required documentation is collected and passed on.
  • Communicate with clients about approved or denied items and available options.
  • Educate and help coordinate financial resources for clients.
  • Coordinate case timelines and manage patient and provider expectations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience with CPR Plus, Icentra, Internet Based Insurance Portals.
  • Wheelchair provision, manufacturing and repair experience.
