Requirements
- BS/BA degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline, preferred
- 4+ years of experience in equity administration and payroll management
- Experience with company stock ownership and the full cycle of equity transactions
- Advanced knowledge of and experience working with payroll stock plan administration platforms. ADP and UBS platforms are a plus
- Working knowledge of U.S. federal and state taxation relating to payroll and equity compensation and general knowledge of global taxation
- Proficient in Excel for data analysis and modeling with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Self-motivated, reliable, flexible, deadline-oriented, have keen attention to detail and can complete multiple tasks in a timely fashion, independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent interpersonal skills with high initiative, flexibility, and a team approach to work
- Acute attention to detail and well-developed organization and time management skills
- Strong work ethic, including the ability to work independently, as a team player, and to complete projects timely and accurately
- An effective communicator using any medium with a variety of levels of internal employees, business partners, external vendors, etc

Responsibilities
- Payroll
- Primary point person responsible for processing all payroll account transactions (e.g., salaries, benefits, garnishments, deductions, taxes, third-party payments, restricted stock unit vesting, stock option exercises, etc.)
- Oversee processing of payroll changes (e.g., new hires, terminations, raises, etc.) and system upgrades
- Coordinate timekeeping and payroll systems
- Supervise and coach payroll team including internal and external resources
- Stock Plan Administration
- Primary point person responsible for all administrative aspects of EVgo Equity programs
- Oversee and assist with the preparation and processing of equity awards, vesting, and release of restricted stock units partnering with HR, Payroll, Legal and Tax
- Oversee and assist the processing of stock option exercises, ensuring timely and accurate tax withholding and reporting to payroll, through settlement of trades
- Input all equity activity in equity platform and ensure that equity activity is complete and accurate including demographic information
- Reconcile and support grant, exercise and releases, termination, and cancelation activity to ensure plan compliance and accurate financial reporting related to equity compensation matters
- Reconcile transactions, termination dates, tax withholding, and reporting, and other items as required and assist the Finance team with timely remittance
- Ensure equity reporting and compliance with tax and regulatory requirements on the Stock Plan Administration platform is timely and correct
- Maintain database integrity in stock administration systems. Ensure employee data accuracy in third party systems
- Manage custom reports within stock plan administration tool and Excel and perform reconciliations to review accuracy of equity and transaction data
- Work closely with the company's transfer agent, outside broker service provider, and internal Legal, Payroll, HR, Financial Reporting, Tax and other teams, as necessary
- Support business objectives by preparing stock-plan related reports, insights, and analysis for Executives, Board Members, Finance, HR, Legal, and Payroll as needed. Prepare materials for the board to facilitate approval of new equity grants
- Lead the evaluation and selection of equity plan administration systems, as needed
- General Accounting and Compliance
- Prepare and/or review payroll and equity-related journal entries to ensure that expenses are recorded in the Company's financial statements
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and yearly reconciliations for payroll and stock-based compensation accounts to ensure records are accurate between stock administration, general ledger, payroll, human resources systems, etc
- Ownership of the documentation and improvement of payroll and equity-related procedures, policies, and controls. Develop process improvements including automation projects for the payroll and equity administration processes
- Work with internal and external auditors to ensure and demonstrate internal controls are in place and executed
- Manage payroll tax audits
- Employee Liaison
- Primary liaison for addressing employee inquiries and assisting employees with resolving payroll and equity-related issues. Manage and ensure timely response to all payroll and stock administration for all employee queries
- Develop employee educational materials and resources. Coordinate and provide employee education sessions regarding EVgo's stock programs
