Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in biology, technology, or science related field
- 2+ years of relevant work experience in Laboratory testing, research and development, Lab management/Operations, Client Service, or Business Development
Responsibilities
- Support the day to day monitoring of the status of samples throughout the process, and escalate issues as needed
- Coordinate day-to-day lab operations management, including professional communications with lab partners
- Coordinate and troubleshoot logistics for delivery of samples to labs
- Provides onboarding support for new lab partners
- Conduct analysis on lab processing, including calculating key metrics
- Support process improvement initiatives and help develop materials for standardization of procedures
- Support late night and weekend coverage, as needed
- Support special projects, as requested
Desired Qualifications
- Proven track record of project ownership and results orientation in a team setting
- Ability to collaborate, multitask, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong analytical skills, with an ability to develop fact-based and informed opinions
- Background or Knowledge in fundamentals of pathogen detection methodologies (e.g., qPCR, dPCR, ddPCR, microarray, NGS, antigen/antibody testing)
- High level of efficiency, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and motivation for completing tasks accurately and on time
- Excellent interpersonal skills, strong communication skills, positive work attitude, and appropriate level of professionalism
- Commitment to quality and continuous improvement
- Interest in working in a high-growth, flexible, and dynamic environment
- Understanding and desire to learn varieties of science and technology in public health, molecular testing, and genetic sequencing
