Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited practical nursing program.
  • Current South Carolina Licensed Practical Nurse license.
  • Current CPR/AED certification.
  • Current state intravenous therapy training requirements, if applicable.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care throughout patient assessment, initiation and discontinuation of treatment; monitor patients during treatment and assess them following treatment; and obtain necessary laboratory work.
  • Assess and monitor patient access and intervene as appropriate.
  • Follow the clinic’s infection control policies and procedures.
  • Understand water treatment concepts and their effects on patient care.
  • Communicate patient condition changes to the charge nurse.
  • Follow the clinic’s risk management program.
  • Administer medications and educate patients about them within the scope of practice.
  • Attend required training and staff meetings to maintain and expand skills.

  • Dialysis experience is preferred but not required.
