The Senior Systems Administrator will deploy new servers and provide support for maintaining and enhancing infrastructure as well as the day-to-day maintenance support for troubleshooting. This role requires an individual with technical expertise administering the full lifecycle of Linux and Windows platforms. The candidate will provide Windows engineering support to develop automations for the building and patching Linux and Windows servers Ansible Automation Platform in support of new systems being deployed. As well as apply STE/STN compliance requirements to servers. This role is responsible for interacting with product owners across multiple teams and working other engineers to troubleshooting problems for multiple systems and network environments. This role analyzes recurring problems and initiates solutions for preventing reoccurrence and analyzes existing infrastructure for tuning/performance enhancements.
Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and position appropriate security clearance is required. (e.g. Active TS/SCI security clearance with agency appropriate polygraph).
Capabilities
- Support IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
- Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
- Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning, as well as trouble shooting IT Systems
- Configure and manage operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
- Leverage Ansible modules to monitor system health, identify issues, and implement automated remediation strategies.
- Manage switch configuration and apply STE/STN compliance requirements to servers and network device while supporting the 13 playbook
Required Qualifications
- TS/SCI with agency appropriate poly
- Ten (10) years' experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
Required Technical Skills
- Proficient in Linux and Ansible skills.
- Experience with switch configuration skills and experience applying STE/STN compliance requirements to servers
