Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree in footwear manufacturing or textiles
  • 7+ years manufacturing experience (preferably within the footwear industry)
  • Knowledge of footwear construction, material construction, material properties, and manufacturing practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse workforce
  • Highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
  • Initiative to balance and resolve competing interests and priorities within strict time constraints
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Ability to travel
Responsibilities
  • Establishing quality standards for construction and manufacturing methods for all footwear factories
  • Supporting the Senior Manager, Product Integrity in enforcing known quality standards
  • Contributing to sourcing exploration, qualification assessment, education, and training of new and existing factories resources
  • Providing technical expertise and guidance in Arc’teryx construction methods and quality standards for footwear
  • Attending design initiations, prototype reviews, buy-ready sign-off meetings
  • Collaborating closely with Design, Development, and Materials teams
  • Reviewing tech packs, construction elements, and focusing on sampling challenges
  • Performing seasonal technical quality review of prototypes and samples
  • Running risk assessments and overseeing high-risk models
  • Preparing instructions for new models and conducting seasonal handover meetings
  • Creating and updating protocols for critical quality operations
  • Collaborating with Materials Development teams during R&D stages
  • Reviewing test reports, material specifications, and physical samples
  • Engaging with Material Quality Specialist in Asia and material suppliers
  • Providing technical guidance to suppliers and labs
  • Participating in new vendor on-boarding program
