Requirements
  • The candidate must have at least 3 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.
  • The candidate must have 1 to 3 years of experience working for a governmental public health agency at the local, state, federal, or tribal level.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I certification is required.
  • The candidate must have experience working in Agile or Scaled Agile Framework environments.
  • The candidate must have strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • The candidate must have a track record of mentoring or guiding less experienced developers.
  • The candidate must be proficient in Apex, Salesforce Object Query Language, and Lightning Web Components.
  • The candidate must have experience with Salesforce Flow and declarative automation tools.
  • The candidate must understand Salesforce data modeling and the Salesforce security model.
  • The candidate must be familiar with integration patterns and Representational State Transfer and Simple Object Access Protocol application programming interfaces.
  • The candidate must have experience with version control using Git and continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.
  • The candidate must know testing frameworks and test-driven development.
  • The candidate must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Flow.
  • Lead technical discussions and contribute to solution design alongside architects.
  • Mentor junior developers through pair programming, code reviews, and guidance.
  • Bring a public health perspective to technical decisions and design conversations.
  • Write clean, well-documented, testable code that sets the standard for the team.
  • Identify and resolve complex technical challenges.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Translate public health requirements into scalable technical implementations.
  • Contribute to code reviews with constructive, supportive feedback.
  • Participate in quarterly Program Increment planning sessions and help shape the technical roadmap.
  • Work in two-week sprints with daily standups, backlog refinement, and sprint retrospectives.
  • Guide technical decisions within the team and help junior developers grow their skills.
  • Work closely with solutions analysts, architects, and quality assurance to ensure deliverables serve clients.
Desired Qualifications
  • Salesforce Platform Developer II certification.
  • Experience with Service Cloud or Health Cloud.
  • Familiarity with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act compliance requirements.
  • Experience with Scaled Agile Framework methodology.
  • A background in public health data systems, case management, or epidemiology workflows.
