Technical Security Specialist

This is a critical life-safety role designed to help the Security Organization keep employees safe and secure. This role will be instrumental in implementing and maintaining critical life-safety and technical security equipment. As a Technical Security Technician, you will be a valuable member of the Security Team and be responsible for large scale, state-of-art projects and programs.

Responsibilities will include: 

• Maintaining and testing of access control, closed circuit television (CCTV), security system hardware and software. 
• Travel up to 25% will be expected. (travel pay included)
• Installing, repairing, and testing data cable and wiring, electronic door locks, access card readers, door contacts, request to exit devices, & CCTV cameras.
• Duties will include badging services for employee’s & contractors. 
• Maintaining a monthly service schedule of current and future Access control doors, cameras, security servers  
• Utilizing scissor, boom, & forklifts on a daily occurrence. 
•  Other duties as assigned.

Desired Qualifications: 

• 3 to 5 years previous experience as a Technical Security expert.
• Experience and working knowledge of Video Management and Access Control systems.
• A working knowledge of corporate security best practices.
• Ability to engage and work with local, state, and federal first responders.
• Military or public safety experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
• Experience with OSHA Regulations.
• The ideal candidate will have technical knowledge, problem solving skills, and proven experience working within a team environment.
