Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, CIS, Engineering or relevant field; or equivalent IT working experience, particularly with a semiconductor company/industry.
  • Proficiency or higher in Unix-based operating systems
  • Experience working with relational databases, DB2 and Oracle
  • Basic knowledge of SQL
  • Embrace a team philosophy and be comfortable working in legacy code languages, styles, and conventions
  • Agreeable to occasional off-shift coverage and support
  • Ability to travel to worldwide manufacturing locations to support on the job training and collaboration
Responsibilities
  • Design and develop applications in C in support of Equipment Integration objectives.
  • Develop analysis-level documents that reflect the requirements
  • Maintain system and design documentation, and prepare materials for project reviews
  • Weigh business and technical requirements to produce estimates
  • Operational support of front-end wafer fab factory applications deployed in manufacturing
  • Develop and maintain troubleshooting and corrective action guides
  • Develop test plans and carry out testing new application releases
  • Plan and perform application installation during scheduled downtimes and during normal operations without downtime or production impact
  • Plan and perform training classes for level one support teams
  • Perform troubleshooting and corrective actions during unscheduled application downtimes
  • Work closely with IT to establish 24x7 on call support and troubleshoot factory system applications and infrastructure issues
  • Perform per agreed-upon Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) with Operations, IT, and internal and external software suppliers
  • Perform deep dive analysis on critical factory applications to determine solutions to system performance issues and drive to closure
  • Create alerts and troubleshooting guides to drive MTTD and MTTR improvements
Desired Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, CIS, Engineering or relevant field
  • Experience in semi-conductor manufacturing support with emphasis in Equipment Integration and SEMI standards & other tool communication protocols.
  • Experience with Manufacturing Tool state/signal models.
  • Experience in onboarding Manufacturing Tools from vendor suppliers and/or partner factories -- especially 200mm tooling.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work effectively and communicate in a global organization
  • Experience providing classroom training
  • Prior experience with consolidating legacy systems and being the recipient of expert knowledge transfer.
