- Maintain the quality assurance test lab so that test systems remain operational for Kansas-based engineers.
- Work with the platform team to upgrade or order hardware, firmware, and software for test systems as needed.
- Work with Kansas-based engineers to reproduce issues in the lab.
- Maintain proprietary Python code for the automated test system.
- Maintain and expand Jenkins scripting to improve the automated test suite.
- Create automation scripts for complex testing requirements, including stress tests, performance tests, and special-feature tests.
- Create and maintain an image-diffing test suite.
- Develop test plans and design automated tests using the proprietary test system.
- Perform manual testing on new software-release features when needed.
- Communicate with team members across time zones.
- Serve as a resource for others learning to use the test system.
- Document the test system for internal and external users.
- Video game or 3D graphics testing experience is preferred.
- Experience with flight simulation software is preferred.
- Experience configuring or testing virtual-reality or mixed-reality headsets is preferred.
- Experience creating image-diffing tests is preferred.
- Experience with Jira, Perforce, Visual Studio, Jenkins, Bash, and GitHub is preferred.
- Experience writing technical documentation is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of 3D modeling, geographic information systems, geospatial content, or geotypical content creation is preferred.

Sagewind Capital has announced a definitive agreement to sell portfolio company Aechelon Technology to Shield AI, pending regulatory approvals. Financial terms were not disclosed. Aechelon provides simulation technology and geo-specific databases for manned and unmanned systems across US military branches. The company's software creates physics-based synthetic environments for training warfighters and autonomous systems, and serves as the simulation provider for the Pentagon's Joint Simulation Environment. Shield AI develops autonomy software and aircraft for defence applications. During Sagewind's ownership, Aechelon expanded its R&D capabilities and completed a strategic acquisition to broaden its radar simulation platform. J.P. Morgan Securities served as exclusive financial adviser to Aechelon, with Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison providing legal counsel.
