  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration required
  • Registration in Oregon and Washington preferred
  • Minimum of 12 years working on professional land development projects across diverse markets such as commercial, education, residential, healthcare, municipal, infrastructure, and/or Federal projects with the following experience: Managing multiple, concurrent projects; Leading design team efforts; Successfully managing project budgets and schedules; Interfacing with a multi-discipline design team; Mentoring junior staff; Client management
  • Technical experience with hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, technical studies, mapping documents, preparation and processing of civil construction documents, and earthwork calculations
  • Stormwater experience in Oregon and Western Washington preferred
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred
  • Specification preparation experience preferred
  • Effective technical writing and communication skills
  • Ability to foster long term client relationships
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Portland experience and relationships are a plus

Responsibilities
  • Apply engineering skills to a variety of challenging projects at Coffman Engineers’ Portland Office, including project entitlements and preliminary design through construction documents and construction administration
  • Provide leadership responsibilities and influence on a growing team with support from Coffman professionals across the company
  • Manage multiple, concurrent projects, including budgets and schedules
  • Interface with a multi-discipline design team and with clients
  • Lead design team efforts on land development projects across diverse markets such as commercial, education, residential, healthcare, municipal, infrastructure, and/or Federal projects
  • Prepare and process civil construction documents, earthwork calculations, hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, technical studies, mapping documents, and related deliverables
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to staff development
  • Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and manage client communications
  • Prepare specifications and assist in technical writing and documentation
  • Foster collaboration and coordination among disciplines to deliver quality projects
  • Support entitlements processes and project development through construction administration
