We are seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated, technically minded Senior Discipline Civil Engineer with 12 or more years of experience to join our team in applying engineering skills to a variety of challenging projects. We are looking for someone with experience that ranges from project entitlements and preliminary design through construction documents and construction administration.  This position offers the incredible opportunity to have leadership responsibilities and influence on a growing team, with the support of Coffman professionals across the company.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Expected Base Salary: $123,000 to $166,000 based on experience.
• Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate
• Competitive end of year discretionary bonus based on company/team/personal performance
• Hybrid work schedule (subject to change)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration required
  • Registration in Oregon and Washington preferred
• Minimum of 12 years working on professional land development projects across diverse markets such as commercial, education, residential, healthcare, municipal, infrastructure, and/or Federal projects with the following experience:
  • Managing multiple, concurrent projects
  • Leading design team efforts
  • Successfully managing project budgets and schedules
  • Interfacing with a multi-discipline design team
  • Mentoring junior staff
  • Client management
• Technical experience with hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, technical studies, mapping documents, preparation and processing of civil construction documents, and earthwork calculations
  • Stormwater experience in Oregon and Western Washington preferred
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred
• Specification preparation experience preferred
• Effective technical writing and communication skills
• Ability to foster long term client relationships
• Excellent time management skills
• Portland experience and relationships are a plus
